A Wedding at The Pavilion at the Pond
A ceremony under a floral arch at the edge of the pond, portraits on the lawn and the dock, and a reception behind walls of glass. Heather and Vincent were married on October 10, and BlackTie Brothers photographed and filmed their day. This page follows it from the bridesmaids’ red robes to a dance floor full of light sabers, with a film from another Pavilion wedding further down.
The wedding · Photography
From the staircase to the dock.
Heather and Vincent’s ceremony was on the stone patio facing the pond, their portraits wandered around the water, and the reception filled the glass pavilion. The photographs below come from the previews we delivered three days after the wedding, in the order the day unfolded. Their full gallery and wedding film are still being edited.

Before the ceremony
Matching red robes, a set of arched mirrors and a white staircase that was clearly built for a bridesmaid lineup.
The ceremony by the pond
Stone steps down to the patio, white chairs on both sides of the aisle and a floral arch with the pond and its fountain right behind it.
Portraits around the pond
The lawn runs down to the water, with the fall color on the hills across it. There is also a floating dock, which Vincent used for more than portraits.
The reception in the glass pavilion
A round iron chandelier, long farm tables, tall windows facing the pond and a bar with signs starring the couple’s cats. By the end of the night the dance floor glowed green and pink.
These are preview photographs from Heather and Vincent’s wedding. Their complete gallery and their wedding film are still in editing, so this page is a first look.
Another Pavilion wedding · Film
A June wedding at the Pavilion, on film.
Callie and Jaycob were married at The Pavilion at the Pond on June 6. BlackTie Brothers filmed their wedding, and their photographs were taken by Kristen Owen Photography, so their film is the only part of their day on this page.

The venue · Rome, Pennsylvania
A pond, a lawn and a pavilion made of glass.
The Pavilion at the Pond sits on 125 acres off Battle Creek Road outside Rome, in Bradford County, in the Endless Mountains of northern Pennsylvania. It opened for events in July.
At Heather and Vincent’s wedding the ceremony was on a stone patio at the edge of the pond, under a floral arch, with the fountain behind it. The reception was in a pavilion with tall glass windows on the pond side and a round iron chandelier. A floating dock sits out on the water, and the lawn runs right down to the shore.

Our planning notes
Planning photography and film at the Pavilion.
What we saw at two weddings here, and what we would suggest for yours. Each card says which one it is.
The ceremony faces the water.
Heather and Vincent’s ceremony was on the stone patio with the pond behind the arch, so guests and cameras look straight toward the water and the fountain. Stone steps lead down to the aisle, which makes a natural entrance.
Save time for the far side of the lawn.
The widest portraits here are taken from across the lawn, with the pond and the hills behind you. Plan about ten minutes for the walk and the setup. That is how the wide portrait in the photographs above was made.
Plan around the light.
Heather and Vincent’s 2:30 PM ceremony left plenty of daylight for portraits around the pond afterward. In mid-October the sun sets around 6:30 PM here. Send us your ceremony time and we will plan the portrait walk around the light.
Tell us about the fun stuff.
Cat-themed bar signs and light sabers on the dance floor are the details guests remember. If you have plans like these, tell us ahead of time so photography and film are ready for them.
Photo and film, or just film.
Heather and Vincent booked photography and film together. Callie and Jaycob booked film only and had a separate photographer. Both work. When another photographer is there, we coordinate with them through the day.
Know the rain plan.
The ceremony patio, the lawn and the dock are all outside. Ask the venue where a ceremony moves if the weather turns, and we will plan photographs for both versions of the day.
Photography + film
One plan for both.
Heather and Vincent had photography and film from BlackTie Brothers. When you choose both, our photographers and filmmakers plan around the same timeline and the same people, so the photographs and the film tell the day together. We have artists in New York, Florida and Hawaii and cover weddings nationwide.
Space to be yourselves.
We give direction when it helps, then leave room for a glance, a laugh and the quieter moments between photographs. A short, useful portrait plan gives you more time with your guests.
Keep the voices.
We coordinate with the officiant and DJ about microphones before the important moments. Good sound gives a wedding film more than a music track.
Bradford County is on our map.
We cover northern Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier of New York regularly. Travel is quoted for your venue and built into your total.
Pavilion at the Pond wedding questions
A few things couples ask.
Have you photographed and filmed weddings at The Pavilion at the Pond?
Yes. We photographed and filmed Heather and Vincent’s wedding on October 10, and we filmed Callie and Jaycob’s wedding on June 6. The photographs on this page are previews from Heather and Vincent’s day, and Callie and Jaycob’s film plays above.
Where is the ceremony at The Pavilion at the Pond?
At Heather and Vincent’s wedding, the ceremony was on a stone patio at the edge of the pond, under a floral arch with the fountain behind it. Guests sat on white chairs on the patio, and the processional came down a short flight of stone steps. Ask the venue about ceremony options for your date.
Where are good portrait spots at the Pavilion?
The lawn above the pond, the floral arch after the ceremony and the floating dock all worked well for us. In October the hills across the pond were full of color. We plan the portrait route with you before the day.
Why are these called preview photographs?
We send couples a set of preview photographs soon after the wedding. Heather and Vincent’s previews arrived three days after their wedding. Their complete gallery and their film follow after full editing.
Can we book film only, like Callie and Jaycob?
Yes. You can book photography, film or both. Callie and Jaycob chose film only and had a separate photographer, and we worked alongside them through the day. Current collections are on our pricing page.
Do you travel to Bradford County, Pennsylvania?
Yes. We cover weddings in northern Pennsylvania and across the Southern Tier of New York, as well as nationwide. Travel is quoted for your venue and built into your total. Send us your date to check availability.
